Introducing Import Email: How to migrate your old emails to a new Titan account

We’re thrilled that you’ve chosen Titan for your business email needs. But we also recognize that just because you’re now on board, it doesn’t mean that the emails sitting in your old accounts are now irrelevant. This is why we’re excited to introduce Titan’s new Import Email tool! Titan enables you to import existing email data from a remote server via IMAP –– right from the Import Email tab in your admin control panel. It’s simple…even if acronyms and words like “control panel” sound a little scary! Let’s take a closer look at how it works.
Email Migration Process
There’s real value in setting up an email account at your domain, especially for your business. But you’re of course not new to email and there’s a strong chance that you’ve already been firing off emails for your business from another account. This is why we’ve made it easier than ever to migrate email data from any environment that uses the IMAP protocol. All you have to do is navigate to the Import Email tab in your Titan admin control panel and follow a few simple steps. There are a few caveats and things to look out for, like ensuring that you’re not trying to migrate more email data than the storage capacity available in your Titan account. But most of the limitations can be quickly addressed. If you’re the admin for all of the Titan accounts on your domain, you can port over email data for your teammates and assure them that nothing in their external account will be impacted. It’s also worth noting that because Google handles labels and folders a little differently than the standard Imapsync protocol, we do not currently support importing email data from Gmail or G Suite.
