Do you have a friend who leaves their house keys under the doormat?
You probably do. I was one of them until someone walked away with my PS3. 🤷♂️
Well, imagine our thief using that key under the doormat to get into my house but getting caught because the home security system knows it’s not me. That’s 2FA in action.
2FA stands for two-factor authentication, a simple but effective method to strengthen the security of your account. It’s when your security system needs two factors—like your key and your presence to unlock the house—so someone with your password can’t just walk in anymore.
You probably already use 2FA for some online accounts (Apple, Google, Amazon, Instagram, etc.), even if you haven’t heard the acronym before. It’s like when you have to look up and type in an OTP (one-time password) from your phone.
Almost anything on the Internet can be hacked nowadays and your email accounts are prime targets for phishing attacks. Passwords alone provide weak protection. Even “strong” passwords can be guessed or stolen. 2FA confirms that it’s you and not an imposter trying to access sensitive and confidential information.
That’s why we’re excited to launch 2FA for your favorite business email!
Titan now supports 2FA for secure logins so you (and only you) can access your business emails, and it’s a breeze to use. In fact, setting up 2FA in Titan just takes a minute.

4. If this is your first time with 2FA, you’ll need to download and install an authenticator app on your smartphone (see below list). Or click “I have an authenticator app” if you have already installed one of the following apps:
5. Use the authenticator app on your phone to scan the QR code from Titan, and then click Next.
6. Enter the 6-digit code shown in your authenticator app, and click Verify.
7. Don’t forget to copy your recovery codes. They can come in handy when you don’t have your phone on you.
8. Ta da! You’ve configured 2FA for your Titan email account.
Once enabled, 2FA is enforced on your Titan account—on the web and on mobile devices.
When signing in, type in your Titan password, and click Login. Then enter the code from your authenticator app, and click Verify (or use one of the recovery codes you copied when enabling 2FA).

Enabling 2FA is like a sphinx at the door that poses riddles only you can answer. That means no PlayStation heists—or worse—in your future.
If you haven’t done it already, enable 2FA for your Titan account today. Strong passwords are good, but 2FA is better.
Note: 2FA is only available on Titan’s paid plans. If you’re on a free Titan plan, you can unlock many exclusive features by upgrading. Click on the “Upgrade” button on the top right corner of the Titan client.
